Waste Disposal

From time to time, customers ask us to dispose of items.

We have a credit account at West Melbourne Tip, at 437 Dynon Road, West Melbourne (City of Melbourne, run by Citywide). This means we don't have to worry about opening and closing times, as they are open 24hrs, 7 days a week for account customers (us).

We must take the Citywide Tip Kit or else we won't be allowed on site.

It also means we pay for the waste by the tonne. They will weigh us in and out of the facility and provide us with a weight in and weight out. We have to use this to calculate a price based on the costs below:

• For general waste: $356.00 per tonne inc GST.

• For mattresses: $88.00 each inc GST.

• For cardboard and metal, separated for recycling: Free

Charging the customer

As before, we prefer not to add anything to whatever it costs us.

• Any time taken to go to the tip is normal working time. If we finish there, that will be the end travel time suburb.

• We will need a credit card on file if the tip is the final destination, and the customer isn't coming along to pay at the end.

• Using the above rates, we can guess a price range, but final cost will be whatever the tip charges us.
