As a predominately on-road workplace, MWAV acknowledges its responsibility to ensure the safety of employees and the broader public. MWAV commits to taking action to eliminate or reduce driving-related risks. To be effective, this requires a partnership between management, on-road staff and other employees.

MWAV management commits to purchasing and maintaining a safe and roadworthy fleet, and providing appropriate information and training on work-related driving safety, as well as maintaining a clear division of vehicle maintenance responsibilities between driving staff, the Fleet Manager and the OHS Manager. This is coupled with a strong, clearly expressed set of procedures for MWAV drivers, with the aim of fostering a company-wide culture of safe driving.
