After Hours Move Policy

Goal: To have a clear policy of when we charge customers after hours rates, and what staff are paid for after hours work.

After hours move policy - for customers

• Where a move is booked to start after 16:30, job will be charged at minimum 4hr after hours rates 

• Where a move is booked to finish after 17:30, after hours rates after 17:30

• Where a move is booked to start between 05:00 and 06:00…all time prior to 06:00 is to be charged at after hours rates

• Any job booked to start before 05:00 will be charged a minimum of 4hr at after hours rates

For Staff Wages: “Ordinary hours of work will be from 6am to 7.30pm, Monday to Sunday.”

Where a move is booked to start before 16:30 and finishes after 19:30: Movers will be paid their normal rates and appropriate overtime for that shift, with overtime starting from 19:30, or from 8h after their shift commenced.

Where a customer is charged in line with after hours move policy, ie 4hr min @ after hours rates, movers will be paid: 

• Overtime 2 for the same 4hr minimum as the job.

• Any appropriate penalties (e.g weekend or public holiday penalties)

• Casual overtime loading

Where a move is booked to start between 05:00 - 06:00:

• Movers to be paid at Overtime 2 rates until 06:00

Where a customer is charged in line with after hours move policy, ie "after hours rates from 5.30pm", movers will be paid: 

• Overtime 2 for the same period the customer is charged after hours rates.

• Any appropriate penalties (e.g weekend or public holiday penalties)

• Casual overtime loading
