Enterprise Agreement (EBA):
Officially ratified by Fair Work and now in effect.
Policies arising from the EBA are being uploaded to the Wiki and InMotion.
Some policies to be discussed further at the upcoming union meeting.

If called into a meeting with management, staff should contact the union (Alex or Paul) and not attend alone.
Industry update:
Little Red Trucks are in early stages of unionisation.
National union structure remains in place, providing stronger legal backing.
Extraordinary OHS / D&I Meeting Held:
Addressed a specific incident and future committee structure.
Diversity & Inclusion Committee Changes:
Will now be staff-led, with managers not directly on the committee.
Committee will report recommendations to management.
A Code of Conduct is being drafted for meetings and communications.
Nominations open for new committee members.
Heat Policy Discussion:
Current approach includes:
Starting jobs earlier on hot days.
Rescheduling jobs where possible.
Sending rescue trucks to get crews off the road earlier.
Allowing heat breaks as needed.
No legislated temperature cutoff exists.
Feedback requested from staff on recent extreme heat days.
Proposal to run a workshop to review the heat policy and staff experiences.
Staff encouraged to submit suggestions to the OHS Committee.
Proposal to establish a new staff-focused body to discuss issues not covered by OHS or D&I.
Intended focus areas:
General workplace improvements.
Training methods.
Social events.
Facilities and amenities.
Desired representation:
Staff from different depots (e.g. Cranbourne).
Office staff.
Management.
HSRs.
Union representation.
Mix of new and long-term employees.
Aim:
Improve workplace culture.
Create continuity ahead of future EBA negotiations.
Meetings:
Approximately monthly, informal and social in style.
Staff encouraged to express interest or ideas.
Shift confirmations and cancellations now being sent two days in advance where possible.
Purpose:
Provide greater certainty.
Allow staff time to organise alternative work if required.
Acknowledgement that:
There may be teething issues and increased messaging.
Staff should raise any confusion with management.

Higher duties allowances.

New surveillance signage installed as part of the EBA.
Areas where trucks operate may include audio recording for safety purposes.
New camera installed in the XL yard:
Currently not functioning reliably due to power issues.
Audio recording will be disabled for outdoor/public areas.
Surveillance is intended for safety, not routine disciplinary use.
Staff encouraged to raise any concerns.
