Company-wide text messages will be used to announce new safety procedures, as this communication method is company standard for formal mass communication (i.e. start times) and is most appropriate for formal announcements such as safety procedures.
Text messages will direct staff to the wiki page where new procedures would be available to read, but the body of the text will also outline the new procedure.
Text message will also include a link to a Google form which staff must complete to confirm they have read and understood the new procedure and invite staff to direct any questions to a relevant manager.
After 48 hours a follow up message should be sent to any staff who have not confirmed the new procedure, including a warning that failure to do so will lead to a request to pop in to the office a speak to a manager at the end of the day.
After a further 48 hours any staff who have still not confirmed the change should be asked to come into the office and speak to a manager.
Beyond this, managers can address individual staff on a case by case basis if it becomes known that individual staff members are not following safety procedures.
