Changing an indicator cover - Canter Edition
Tools and parts required: (Pic 1)
Philips screwdriver
Replacement cover. Aftermarket part on spares shelf in repair bay or from Fuso PM. These are specific to each side of the vehicle - Drivers = RHS, Passenger = LHS
Lever/pry bar
Needle nose pliers
Steps
Open the door on the damaged indicator side of the truck.
Remove damaged the indicator. 2x philips screws directly into the indicator unit. (Pic 2)
Inspect the black/grey clips that connect the indicator to the truck. If these are damaged they need to be changed as well. 2x phillip screws into the truck. (Pic 3)
Inspect the black sockets in the truck that the clips affix to. If these are damaged they can be removed and replaced with needle nose pliers. (Pic 4)
Replace all parts as required. The cover will need to slide in towards the centre of the truck. Extra sockets and clips are located on spares shelves in the repair bay. If you're having trouble getting the screws into the indicator use the lever and GENTLY wedge the indicator in towards the truck. (Pic 5)
Ensure the correct bulb is used to match the replacement indicator bulb hole. Wide bayonet or skinny wedge. (Pic 6)
Test indicators.
