Smoking Policy

We are committed to ensuring the health and safety of all staff, as well as upholding legal requirements.

Under the Tobacco Act 1987 smoking is prohibited in all enclosed workplaces, whether the people working there are paid employees or volunteers. There are penalties for breaches of this law.

Smoking is prohibited in the MWAV depot and all vehicles.

Smoking is prohibited whilst displaying a visible MWAV logo.

Smoking includes vaping, and/or other e-cigarette style products, including with or without nicotine or other additives.

If there are any questions regarding this, or you're unclear about when it is permissible to smoke, please come in and chat to a manager.

Employees found to have been smoking in MWAV vehicles, inside company or customer premises will be subject to disciplinary action.
