Review of Workplace Health Safety Injury/Incident statistics and data

• Number of reports high, but less serious this month

• Number of days missed has gone down

• Per capita injuries has gone way down

• Injuries requiring medical assistance and lost days best indicator of current situation

• You have up to 31 days to report an injury

• Had a near miss, minor or major inury always report it - mans message - Jack Tandy

• Lower back strains down

• Near misses are reportable (unsafe situation)

• Majority of July injuries minor

• A number of notable May and June injuries that are still ongoing workcover incidents

• Chipped tooth - went to dentist and are now fine

• Left shoulder strain worker left MWAV not as a result of injury

• Alex to make a gas lift bed how-to vid next time he does one (phone staff, put him on it)

• PD received a list of item titled "floor-robe'"

• Mover should make an assessment (dynamic risk assessment) as to the health and safety of anything they move
